Spreading of teeth means the tilting of teeth one by one, one to the left and the next to the right.
It aims to enlarge the space for the saw blade in the wood. Spreading happens manually: by moving the arm to one side: infeed, by moving it to the other side: two tilting happens (one teeth to the left, other one to the right).
